Biography

          Shay Myrthil is a 22-year-old student of Bethune-Cookman University. She is from West Palm Beach, Florida. She is the oldest of 4 girls and a first-generation college student. She is the president of her schools' chapter of National Association of Black Journalist as well as the Editor in chief of her school newspaper, The Voice. She has also interned with her local newspaper, The Daytona Times and has written various stories which were featured on the front page. She wants to have the opportunity to build a career by doing what she loves. From a young age, Shay had a vision for what she wanted her professional future to look like. 

          Throughout the years, she has had the great opportunity to work on some inspiring projects while meeting many influential and creative individuals along the way. Working alongside other writers and photographers has helped her develop her skills as a writer and photographer.
